2. How do the Gamemakers try to entice the tributes? What does Katniss think they have for her?
~ They say they are going to have some sort of feast. She thinks it is just a trick or a scheme. She decides to go anyway. When she arrives there she sees a number of backpacks. They bigger ones are for the Career tributes. The smallest backpack, which the handles barely fit around your wrist, is marked with the number 12 on it. That means it is their backpack. Each backpack contains things that will help them survive.

~ Haymitch sends Katniss some special syrup. The syrup makes people fall asleep. Katniss gave it to Peeta, but she didn't give it to him alone. She mixed it with berries and mint leaves and she said she made jam. She did this so he wouldn't really taste the sleep syrup. She gave it to Peeta so he could fall asleep and she could go to the feast.
